This amazing artist is...
Esra Roise!!!!!
Esra Roise is a Norwegian freelance illustrator based in Oslo. Her artwork is inspired by small everyday situations: the people around her, the fashion industry, music, awkward moments and imperfections. As mentioned previously she specialises in water colour which she applies to the face and clothing to make certain areas of the drawing stand out. She also uses pencil for the main outlines and the hair of the people in her paintings.
I personally love her artwork! I love the uniqueness of her paintings and the wide range of colours she uses to portray different types of people. I also love the contrast of the pale white faces with the rosy red/ pink cheeks, or the blended blues, purples and oranges of the clothing.
"..Often uneven and jauntily framed, Røise’s illustrations recall
spur-of-the-moment photographs. Distinguished by their elegance,
playfulness and romanticism, the drawings capture the spirit of what it
is like to be young, free and living in the moment.."

I plan to to recreate this artist's style in my pieces, look forward to attempting to do this; I hope I do her work justice in my drawings.. However, I doubt I will be able to draw hair like Roise, who adds light and dark tones to the hair, without taking away it's layered appearance; as I struggle to make hair look realistic (I find it hard to add tone). The difficulties of being an artist.. at least I don't have to spend ages adding pencil tone to every part of my paintings!
